How To Do Prayer Assignment Over the Water – Lakes, Rivers, Streams, Waterways
Did you know that water can hold curses? Actually our water ways, lakes, rivers, seas and oceans can hold some of the most demonic of all spirits – marine spirits. These can actually come against a city, state or region that these waterways connect to, and cause a lot of problems! How do we as faithful prayer intercessors for the land, go and pray over the water? This is something that was very important in my region since I live in Virginia Beach, there is water everywhere! As a land intercessor for five years, I had yet to pray fully over the waterways – I needed more guidance! I knew it was crucial to the deliverance of my city and region from any of those marine spirits and when my mentor, Jeanette Strauss came to visit me – I asked her if we could go and pray over the water. She took a day to study scriptures and what we would need. The next day we set out to a close waterway near my home. Here is the first water assignment we did at Munden Point Park, inter-coastal waterway between Virginia and North Carolina’s outer banks – we did this in the Spring of 2022. Since then Jeanette has put together a “Redeem The Water” Kit with prayers, scriptures and supplies to add into the water that she now has available on her website, gloriouscreations.net. I have included both video teachings and a transcript on this page.

Now the [a]sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “Look now, the place where we [b]live near you is too small for us. 2 Please let us go to the Jordan [River] and let each man take from there a beam [for the building]; and let us make a place there for ourselves where we may live.” And he answered, “Go.” 3 Then one said, “Please be willing to go with your servants.” So he answered, “I shall go.” 4 So he went with them; and when they came to the Jordan, they cut down [some of] the trees. 5 But it happened that as one was cutting down a beam, the axe head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Oh no, my master! It was borrowed!” 6 The man of God said, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron [axe head] float. 7 He said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out with his hand and took it.
Transcript:
Annamarie Strawhand: “Okay it’s Annamarie from Faithlane tv and I’m here with author and teacher Jeanette Strauss, and we are here at Munden Point Park in Princess Anne County in Virginia Beach Virginia the most southern end of Virginia Beach. We’ve been doing a lot of land assignments and now we’re we’re doing some assignments with the water.
I have come back here… let’s see that was about two years ago, about two years ago in the year 2020 – right around Passover 2020, I was right here between these two trees. I already took communion, I repented for the land. I got the communion in the ground. I also anointed the ground and I poured some of the communion in the water and also some of the anointing in the water. So I did the basic land assignment like Jeanette teaches and sanctified the land and the water with the blood of Jesus Christ. Now, what Janette is going to be doing today – she’s going to be talking about adding the the salt to the water. Jeanette, can you tell us a little bit about why biblically this this tells us to add salt to the water here?”
Jeanette Strauss: Well, we do use the scripture for that and a lot of people have asked about what do I do about water? You’re living on canals you’re living on lakes, you’re living on places and things have happened in the water the sin that’s happened in the water – and there is a particular place in the Word that deals with that – and that is in Second Kings Two.
It’s where Elisha and the men are going to build up a prayer center for the prophets in Jericho and they come to Elisha and they say; You know the problem here this is a beautiful place, but the water is not good there’s barrenness we can’t
grow crops here and even an extension of that wording is barrenness to come on the people because the water’s polluted the water is not good. So Elisha says; “Well, bring me a cruise or a bowl and put some salt in it and I’ll throw that into the water.” ….and that is for the purification. Also goes back to a salt covenant with God. Now everywhere in the bible no place does it say put salt on the land – I mean some of you may have salted your land to do with a blood covenant or some people don’t even know why they salt the land they just say well we’ve heard of that but really there is no place in the word. Everything is negative about putting salt on land. It really is they salted the cities when they took the cities (enemy armies captured them) they’d salt them so they’d be like brimstone and salt (negative). Anyway, so I’ll just read this a little bit about the men of the city:
Said Elisha, “Please notice the situation of the city is pleasant but as the Lord as my Lord sees the water is bad and the
ground is barren so he said bring me a new bowl and put salt in it, and they brought it to him and he went out to the source of the water and cast the salt in it and that’s what we’re going to do, And he said thus says the Lord I’ve healed the water because from it there will be no more death or barrenness .” …… this water remains healed to this day according to the word of Elisha that he spoke. So this is an inland waterway but it does go out doesn’t it?
Annamarie Strawhand: This is an inland waterway but this is actually considered an inter-coastal. So if you look way
out there you’ll see that this is an inter-coastal waterway that goes from Virginia and all the way down through the outer banks of North Carolina, and all the way down to Florida. This is called an Inter-coastal waterway, and this little like a jetty that you see right in here this used to be a landing jetty for ferry boats years and years ago. This used to be a whole ferry landing area. So when I came here to do the land assignment the Lord said to me this is considered a Gate. It’s considered a gate area, to pray and to do communion and all. So we’re we’re just reestablishing that the Blood of Jesus Christ has been poured here and the land has been cleansed and now we’re going a step further with an even another act of faith, prophetic action – according to what Elisha did adding the salt. I did happen to have some salt from Israel!
Jeanette Strauss: Yes you did!
Annamarie Strawhand: I had some salt – dead sea salt.
Jeanette Strauss: Now you don’t have to use Israel salt you know, but any salt you can use that salt is a preservative salt, it’s a preservative. It keeps things from being corrupted – food from corrupting. So the corruption in this water we’re going to apply this salt okay and it’s going to heal this water as well we’ve already redeemed this water and asked forgiveness for this yes – and any corruption that’s in the water any oh yeah okay and this will spread because this in way waterway spreads out
with tides and it goes all over yes it does so we’re going to take some salt just like you can do too and we’re just going to cast it into the water like Elisha did the purification and the removal of corruption for the purification and the removal of the corruption into this water and the inner coastal right away waters. The Lord might tell you to do other things with the water where you’re at too you know which you can do. There’s another thing that we would do too and this is this piece of wood okay? Remember when Elisha – the man came to him and said oh my gosh because he was told to cut down trees to
build the prophet’s house and an axe head flew off the end and so they came and got Elisha and he took a stick off of a tree
and he threw it into the water and the axe had floated and that is because the stick represents The Cross and The Resurrection. Even with Elisha the prophet that was simply a prerequisite of the Cross of Jesus Christ, yes with him throwing the stick in there. This isn’t my opinion this is what the commentaries are all saying that he used that wood to symbolize, and it was about The Resurrection already of the Savior, so it resurrected that axe head.
Annamarie Strawhand: So the axe head resurrected, it rose. Even iron can rise from the bottom of the water and flow to the top by the power of The Resurrection!
Jeanette Strauss: So because of sin in this water there’s been death but if we throw this symbolizing the cross in there there’s going to be resurrection new life new life to this water. Okay so we are uh doing a symbolic act of faith just like Elisha the prophet did and we are throwing this stick in the water. Now we took this from some place today where did we bring this from?
Annamarie Strawhand: We brought this from the First Landing Cross at the very north end of Virginia Beach where the
first landing happened in 1607. Reverend James Hunt erected a wooden cross there and proclaimed prophetically that: “From these very shores of Virginia in America – because it was a main gateway to America – shall go forth the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all the nations thereof, and we bless this land and all the inhabitants thereof.” …. So this was this is very prophetic, because to pick this up from a place where a great prophecy happened for America. So we’re going to
also proclaim that here that from these very waters as well, of the inter-coastal here along the coast of Virginia and
North Carolina all the way down to Florida even going around the Florida – the tip of Florida – and all the way up
into to Texas and all the way down into South America and then all the way up and into the north – the north country
which would be Maine and Canada. That that this resurrection power of the Cross of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit shall bring forth resurrection in life to everywhere where this water touches!
Jeanette Strauss: That’s great.
Annamarie Strawhand: The resurrection the life of the things of Almighty God. Resurrection and life of the plans and purposes of Almighty God and we’re going to do this as a prophetic act of faith in Jesus Name.
Jeanette Strauss: All right life and healing and so this is about healing and this is found in Second Kings 6:6 where Elisha just threw the stick off the tree into the water. Now go ahead okay?
Annamarie Strawhand: Wow all right now since we’ve already done communion about two years ago and the Blood of Jesus Christ is still in the land and speaking from the land and the anointing has already been poured into the water and poured into the land. We’re also going to do a Title Deed which is something I did not get to do. So we’re going to do
this Title Deed today. I’ll just kind of put this here and you can see this comes in Jeanette’s Land Kit but of course you can print these out on her website gloriouscreations.net … So it says here:
To all parties with any interest in the
land formally knowing is this land here
Munden Point Park it will be known
as Munden Point Park the Purified Inter-
Coastal Waterway.
This land now and shall remain free from
any ungodly spiritual
encompasses or any liens of any kind
this deed is hereby freely transferred
to Jehovah God the Creator of Heaven and
Earth as a clear title.
The seal is the official signature of
Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Annamarie Strawhand: Jeanette and I signed it and we dated it, and also Jennifer who’s filming this right now on 3/17/22 and it says it says: “Paid in full by the Blood of Jesus.” I am just going to proclaim right now in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Blood of Jesus Christ – the Communion Blood that has been poured into this land into this very place back in of the year 2020. In the pentecost (actually it was passover) week of pentecost. That the Blood is still of Jesus Christ is still speaking from this land and has sanctified this land and is speaking a better word. The anointing of the Holy Spirit that was already in this land is also releasing the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I want to teach you that you can come back to these places. Jeanette too. If the Lord is showing you something more to do or you know to come back and pray. You had a word today Jeanette which really blessed me when you said we’ve got to continue to nurture for the victory of God. We’ve got to continue to nurture for the victory of God. We’ve got to come back and continue to pray over the land, continue to nurture over it continue to speak over it, continue proclaim that the Blood of Jesus Christ is speaking in the land. You know because you don’t have to come back and keep taking communion over and over again you can just continue to nurture the land, what’s already been done.
Jeanette Strauss: A sign of respect and also yeah we’re guarding – we are guarding what we’ve done too from the re-guarding what we want to double check.
Annamarie Strawhand: Yes, making sure and especially a place where there’s children and families and that the Blood of Jesus Christ will continue to speak here. This place will be blessed and that the that the presence of the Lord comes now and it’s ushered into Munden Point Park and ushered into the waters. hat the Angel Armies of the Lord come and guard these areas and guard these gates and these gateways even these water gateways. This is a place of a blessing, this is a place of safety. This is a place of prosperity and this is a place for the plans and purposes of God. That the Glory of God operates here Amen, and the Glory of God is the covering here.
Jeanette Strauss: Yes and it’s an act of honor to the Lord it’s absolutely give him the glory for amen…..and act of honor to the Lord you know.
Annamarie Strawhand: What’s kind of interesting my house is only about two and a half miles from here and it’s
literally a house of a prophet!
Jeanette Strauss: Oh that’s right that’s great.
Annamarie Strawhand: You know we have a prophetic ministry – and so wow – and we’re building on!
Jeanette Strauss: Yes you are you’re standing and growing.
Annamarie Strawhand: Yeah so it it really is it’s very personal to me. But we’re also trying to teach you that every prophetic act of faith that was done by any prophet in the Bible that this word is our word, right?
Jeanette Strauss: That’s right.
Annamarie Strawhand: It’s good for us what it was good for Elijah it’s good for us today. Amen? So we’re going to take this Title Deed.
Jeanette Strauss: Yes this Title Deed. We’re going to put it in the water. Which I wouldn’t recommend putting it in plastic
and putting it in the water. But see the water will eat this Title Deed – it’s paper so we want to make sure that we’re respectful to the Lord – but we do want the water to eat it and it will dissolve in the water.
Annamarie Strawhand: So the inter coastal waterways are now sanctified and made Holy back to God in The Name of Jesus.
Jeanette Strauss: Yes in The Name of Jesus that will absorb, Lord. Come apart and we’ll let the water eat it that way. Just like we let the land even eat the Title Deed and this becomes an altar to the Lord when we dedicate this land and this water like this. It is an altar together we’re dedicated as an ultra memorial to Him.
Annamarie Strawhand: I have a quick question: I did communion in the land and I also did the communion in the water two years ago. I did the anointing in the land and I did the anointing in the water. Now we now we came back with the salt in the water and everything and the water meets the land the land meets the water you know? They became they become one. People come here for water activities they come here for land activities – so now really this is just kind of completed right? That whole blessing?
Jeanette Strauss: Yes, yes because we really didn’t think too much about the the water we’re doing land but it really has a symbolic – it has a part in it.
Annamarie Strawhand: Yeah, so if somebody would take one of your land kits and goes to a public park where there’s water and land together and there’s activities for families and things like that and they can do the communion they can use your land kit to do everything in the land? Then they can actually get some salt, pray over it dedicate it to God and then proclaim 2 Kings and get a stick and then throw the stick in the water and proclaim that resurrection power?
Jeanette Strauss: Now the stick, now the the salt is the 2 Kings 2:19. The salt is Second Kings 2:19 and the stick is Second Kings 2:6:6
Annamarie Strawhand: Okay so the salt you can proclaim scripture when you do the salt second kings 2:19. right just speak that as you do the salt and then you can put the stick as well.
Jeanette Strauss: If you want to share the second kings chapter 6 verses 6 to do with the resurrection and the new life –
and it caused that ax head to resurrect because it was symbolic even then prophetically of what the cross would do.
Annamarie Strawhand: Amen I love that – and it was Elijah that did both of them.
Jeanette Strauss: Yes, and the Cross broke the curse and it broke the curses.
Annamarie Strawhand: Wow and there was prosperity in the land after that?
Jeanette Strauss: That’s right and that water is as sweet as it can be to this day and that’s what the word says and it really
is and it waters all of Jericho that spring.
Annamarie Strawhand: The same God of Elisha, The Lord God of Israel, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God of Elisha is our God.
Jeanette Strauss: Yes He is.
Annamarie Strawhand: If He will do it for Elisha, He will do it for us. That word – Elisha’s word is our word – we can take that for ourselves and proclaim it and do these as prophetic acts of faith, that’s right! Amen?
Jeanette Strauss: Amen.
